Elsa Oppenheim has been teaching Pilates for 12 Years. Elsa’s first induction into the Pilates method started when she was expecting her first child. She was a dancer and wanted to find solutions to stay fit while pregnant. A dancer since she was six years old, she firmly believes that stretching and strengthening her body is an everyday way of life!
Hailing from France, she has a dance teacher degree from the National Center of Dance in Paris, France; a Balanced Body University (BBU) mat certification from A-Lyne (also in Paris); and comprehensive certification from EHS in San Francisco, USA. She has completed workshops with Martine Curtis-Oaks, Kelly Moriarty, Jennifer Stacey, Helena Bartley, Nancy Meyers, Blane Ashby, and Janine Fondiller, and Ellie Herman.
When she started teaching, she realized that helping people improve their movement gave her immense satisfaction and now, nothing makes her happier than seeing people feel better and more in tune with their bodies. For Elsa, she believes Pilates is a great baseline of exercises for athletic, older, and people recovering from injuries alike.
